Hi! My name is Austin and I love the World of Darkness. VtM was the second TTRPG I ever played, and the one that I still play the most of today. I'm not a player as often as I once was. Nowadays, I primarily ST. I currently have an ongoing Vampire the Masquerade (5th Edition) and Werewolf the Apocalypse (5th Edition) game that has been going since 2020 for VtM and since the launch of the 5th edition WtA game.

My GM philosophy is story first. So I am not as concerned about the minutia of rules. And in fact, for Gencon 2026 I'm planning to do a pared down version of the rules to make it easier for a potential group of varrying familiarity with the game to get right into the meat of the action. So as an example, for those of you who are familiar with the rules: the Premade characters will not have a full gamut of Merits or Flaws (if any).

One thing that you should know coming in to this game, is that your characters will be entering into a situation that they are ill-prepared for, where they will frequently be on the back foot and fighting to survive at the same time that they are trying to achieve their goals.

Summary

Your Hunter Cell wakes after being ambushed by an unknown assailant. Each of you has been drugged and transported to a mysterious hotel that seems rigged to guarantee your demise. Your possessions have been replaced with limited tools intended to help you defend yourself. A note left in the room confirms your worst fears. You and your team are unwilling participants in some sort of sick survival game presented by some supernatural entity.

The odds are heavily out of your favor. But if you choose to play along, then your team will be released so long as a single member of your team succeeds. If instead you choose not to play, or you break the rules... then all bets are off, and each of you may become dinner at any time.
